The Story

The Gilded Scroll Ring Cup

Maximalist Floral Porcelain · 250ml · Jingdezhen
For coffee, tea, matcha, or a daily ritual with a little more presence

The Gilded Scroll Ring Cup embraces ornament rather than restraint. Its rounded, ring-like body is wrapped in flowing leaves and curling botanical forms, framed by layered decorative borders and warm, gold-toned accents.

Unlike the clean geometry of a conventional coffee cup, its silhouette expands generously through the centre before drawing inward at the rim and rising again on a small foot. The result feels almost architectural — part drinking vessel, part sculptural object — while the rounded body rests naturally between the hands.

The decoration follows the same philosophy. Leaves, scrolls and repeating borders move continuously around the porcelain rather than gathering around a single central motif. Deep ink tones meet aged ivory and touches of warm brown-gold, creating a surface that feels layered, expressive and deliberately abundant.

JingTale reimagines this distinctive form for the contemporary coffee ritual. At 250ml, it is suited to a flat white, cappuccino, latte, matcha or tea — placing an unapologetically ornamental porcelain form beside one of the most familiar rituals of modern life.

Paired with its matching plate, the experience becomes even more complete. The pattern continues outward from cup to saucer, turning an everyday coffee into a small composition on the table. Used separately, the plate can also hold pastries, chocolates, jewellery or other small objects.

For JingTale, maximalism does not simply mean “more.”

It means allowing an object to have presence — to carry pattern, history and personality without apologising for taking up visual space.

Some days call for stillness.

Others deserve a little more.

More pattern. More presence. More character.
Tradition was never meant to disappear into the background.

Our Philosophy

Art should be lived with.

We create pieces meant to be used, cherished, and passed down—bringing beauty to the ordinary, every day.

Craft deserves context.

We honor tradition by placing each piece in dialogue with its origins, culture, and the hands that shape it.

Fewer, better things.

We believe in intention over impulse—creating in small numbers, with care, and with lasting meaning.

Our mission

We do not want these objects to remain beautiful things from another culture, admired only from a distance. We want them to live with you.

We felt that sense of calm and strength ourselves. Our mission is to pass a little of it on.

Through thoughtful curation, cultural storytelling and new ways of using traditional forms, we hope to build a bridge between Jingdezhen and contemporary life around the world — allowing every piece to carry its history forward while finding a new purpose, a new ritual and, eventually, a new story with you.
