The Story

The Lute Stem Cup

Chinese Lute Motif Porcelain · 220ml · Jingdezhen
For coffee, water, cocktails, or an afternoon pour

The Lute Stem Cup brings the elegance of a traditional raised-foot vessel into the contemporary drinking ritual.

Its tall cylindrical body rests on a pronounced pedestal foot, giving the cup an almost ceremonial presence in the hand. Across the surface, repeating motifs inspired by the Chinese lute create a restrained rhythm in muted ink and warm earth tones.

The form feels historical; the way we use it does not have to be.

At 220ml, JingTale reimagines the vessel for coffee, iced drinks, water or cocktails. A flat white in the morning and a cocktail after dinner can occupy exactly the same porcelain form.

That shift is central to JingTale: we do not believe the history of an object determines its future.

The form remembers. The ritual moves on.

Our Philosophy

Art should be lived with.

We create pieces meant to be used, cherished, and passed down—bringing beauty to the ordinary, every day.

Craft deserves context.

We honor tradition by placing each piece in dialogue with its origins, culture, and the hands that shape it.

Fewer, better things.

We believe in intention over impulse—creating in small numbers, with care, and with lasting meaning.

Our mission

We do not want these objects to remain beautiful things from another culture, admired only from a distance. We want them to live with you.

We felt that sense of calm and strength ourselves. Our mission is to pass a little of it on.

Through thoughtful curation, cultural storytelling and new ways of using traditional forms, we hope to build a bridge between Jingdezhen and contemporary life around the world — allowing every piece to carry its history forward while finding a new purpose, a new ritual and, eventually, a new story with you.
