These terms apply when you buy from the JingTale online store. Please read them before ordering. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Who you are buying from

The JingTale online store is operated by JINGTALE PORCELAIN ATELIER LTD, a private company limited by shares registered in England and Wales under company number 17431429. Registered office: 141 Chester Road, Manchester, England, M15 4ZN. You can reach us through our contact page.

About the pieces we sell

JingTale sources hand-made porcelain from independent studios in Jingdezhen, China. Pieces are produced in small numbers and are not identical to one another. Photographs and descriptions show a representative example; the piece you receive will vary in glaze, colour depth and small details, as described on each product page and in our returns policy.

Placing an order

When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we confirm that your order has been dispatched. If a piece has sold out between your order and our dispatch — which can happen with one-off work — we will contact you and refund you in full.

Prices, currency and taxes

Prices are shown in the currency you have selected. Delivery is charged at £5.99 and is free on orders of £150 or more. Any duties and import taxes are borne by JingTale, not by you — you will not be asked for a further payment on delivery. We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect an order we have already confirmed.

Delivery

Pieces ship from Jingdezhen, China, and are packed individually. Delivery information is set out on our Shipping & Care page. Risk in a piece passes to you when it is delivered.

Cancellation and returns

Your right to cancel, how to return a piece and how refunds work are set out in our refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

Caring for your piece

Care guidance is published on our Shipping & Care page. Damage caused by dishwashers, microwaves or thermal shock is not a manufacturing fault, and we would ask you to read that guidance before first use.

Intellectual property

The text, photography and design of this store belong to JingTale or to the studios we work with, and may not be reproduced without permission.

Our liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which you live, and you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections that apply there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published when you place your order is the version that applies to that order.
