The Story

The Albizia Volcanic Cup

Albizia & Butterfly Porcelain · 240ml · Jingdezhen
For coffee, tea, iced drinks, or your own everyday ritual

The Albizia Volcanic Cup gives the same garden a different form.

Its silhouette widens towards the base before narrowing gently at the rim, creating a grounded, sculptural shape that contrasts with the delicacy of the albizia blossoms painted across its surface. Soft pink flowers, slender branches and butterflies move around the vessel, balancing the strength of its form with the lightness of the imagery.

The contrast is what gives the piece its character: rooted below, blooming above.

At 240ml, the cup is designed to move easily between rituals — morning coffee, tea in the afternoon, or an iced drink at the end of the day. Its fuller body sits naturally within the hand, while the softly shaped rim prevents the vessel from feeling overly formal.

For JingTale, the piece carries a simple idea: growth does not always require becoming louder or larger. Sometimes it means becoming more grounded while allowing something lighter to emerge.

Stay grounded. Leave room to bloom.
Strength in form. Softness in spirit.

Our Philosophy

Art should be lived with.

We create pieces meant to be used, cherished, and passed down—bringing beauty to the ordinary, every day.

Craft deserves context.

We honor tradition by placing each piece in dialogue with its origins, culture, and the hands that shape it.

Fewer, better things.

We believe in intention over impulse—creating in small numbers, with care, and with lasting meaning.

Our mission

We do not want these objects to remain beautiful things from another culture, admired only from a distance. We want them to live with you.

We felt that sense of calm and strength ourselves. Our mission is to pass a little of it on.

Through thoughtful curation, cultural storytelling and new ways of using traditional forms, we hope to build a bridge between Jingdezhen and contemporary life around the world — allowing every piece to carry its history forward while finding a new purpose, a new ritual and, eventually, a new story with you.
